Ford Cliffhanger Promises of a 700+ hp 2019 Ford Shelby GT500 in Detroit
Well, we'd love to show you a photo of this car.. except, we've got one problem. There was no car. Just a promise of a car that would be "the pinnacle of Mustang performance", the 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.
Speculation is that the car will be drag-strip focused, an answer to Dodge's 707-hp Hellcat, but most likely won't come close to the 840-hp Demon. Rumors have eluded to a possible 5.2-liter supercharged V-8 will be the driving force behind the new installment.
But we'll have to wait to find out more. For now, just enjoy the same disappointingly short, cliffhanger teaser video they left us with.
