Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat's Meow: Horse Power on a New Level
How can we get some attention to our car brand? Why not as much horsepower as we possibly can into our car and charge twice as much? Challenge accepted. Dodge has managed to raise the roof with it's new Charger SRT Hellcat, trumping industry standards with a whopping 707hp. And what's the price tag on this rally rager? About $82 per horse… or a cool $61k if you do the math. Dig deep boys, the bragging rights alone are worth sending the kids off to work.
Now onto the less impressive models (because anything is unimpressive after you say the phrase 707hp…) Dodge's Challenger R/T is standing at a cool $31.5k boasting it's the most affordable American Muscle with a V8. With options of a 6.4-liter Hemi engine, and 485 horses under your hood, we're looking closer to $38.5k.
And there's one more level in between after you add a few sets of ginormous Brembo brakes, a vented hood, and a new suspension, you're much closer to $46k for the SRT 392. But come on… to have as much HP as a Ferarri for half the cost? Can you say 401k?
