The 2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe continues along the long line of Mercedes traditional luxury and class vehicles with this lightweight hybrid installment.  Manufactured with a feather-weight steel-aluminum body, lithium-ion battery, and a lightweight set of wheels and carbon ceramic braking system, Mercedes wants to make sure that it's S63 gives you as much "get-up-and-go" from it's 577 hp, M157 5.5-liter twin turbo V8 that it possibly can… which would almost make you believe that you weren't driving a hybrid at all… and it certainly doesn't accelerate like one, taking you from zero to sixty in 3.9 seconds.  

The S63 is a seven-speed automatic, (AMG's SPEEDSHIFT MCT to be exact) and is governed at 186 mph.   Unfortunately, for you American consumers, she's only available in all-wheel drive, which is mandatory in the U.S.  

While given a slightly more angular look for the 2015, the Mercedes-Benz S63 still reeks of German style… the front bumper has a twin-blade grill, while in the rear you'll find an A-wing bumper, finished off with four squared-off exhaust tips.

The cabin is gorgeous - everything and anything you'd expect to find - bucket sets, Nappa leather, seamlessly smooth design…

Cost?  While it may start out at 140k, we expect that after you've upgraded to all the trim, options, packages and gadgets your heart desires, you'll be paying much closer to 200k for a properly outfitted S63.
