2017 Life-Size Chevy Lego Batmobile unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show
Move over Lightning McQueen... you weren't the only CGI car to make an entrance and promote a movie at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show. Arguably much cooler, was the unveiling of the Chevy 2017 Lego Batmobile, a life-sized version of Lego Batman's Batmobile in, you guessed it, the Lego Batman Movie... made entirely of (what else?) legos!
The Lego Batmobile was there to promote "The Lego Batman Movie," which opens in theaters February 17th. Batman, originally stole our hearts on the silver screen in "The Lego Movie," (which totally got robbed from being given an Oscar for "Best Animated Feature"). Seriously, it was a crime that it didn't win... I've never laughed so hard in my life. His Batmobile, built with the help of a few "master builder" college students, is 17 feet long, and 6.9 feet tall.
He's made of 344,187 Lego bricks, with each tire weighing in at over 100 lbs each and took 1,833 hours to complete.
While that seems like a world record breaking Lego build, its not... and not even one by an automaker when Land Rover constructed a 5.8 million-brick scale model of London's Tower Bridge as a launch event for the Land Rover Discovery SUV in 2016. It was able to support the weight of not one but three Land Rovers.

Find Quality Touch Up Paint

All touch up paint is not created equal! The generic paints you buy at auto part stores will likely NOT match your vehicle’s paint exactly. Believe it or not, even the OEM dealers usually stock “close enough” colors. We recommend PaintScratch.com since their high quality paint is freshly made, they custom mix each order for you upon receipt, and they offer a color match guarantee.
